Inexpensive Cardmaking with Miss Tan Designs

I'm into a new thing now, mini cards (3x3). One set I made is for clients and the other sets that I am making are for sale at etsy.com. These cards are super easy to make. Plus, making handmade greeting cards just add that special touch.

If you are not really that crafty, card making is still super easy. All you need is a sketch pad, pencils, and the right tools to make your card come to life. Just take your time with it. Don't rush! Practice makes perfect.

Now, today's card is very simple and the supplies were bought at local craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Like I mentioned before, I've been creating mini cards. So here's how I created it!

1.) First, I start off with some gray cardstock (Recollections Cardstock Neutral) for my base of the card.

2.) Then, I use my Martha Stewart Paper Trimmer to cut the cardstock down to 6x6. After that, I print a small logo on the back of the card. (You don't have to do this, but I want people to know how they can get more.) Next, I cut each 6x6 piece down to 3x3.

3.) Now, I cut some white cardstock (Recollections Cardstock Neutral) down to 2.75 x 2.75 to create a backing for the image I want on the card. After that, I cut some strips of patterned paper (Recollections Paper Pad-Fashionably Chic) to fit the bottom of the white cardstock and glue it down with permanent adhesive.

4.) Next, I round the corners of the white cardstock by 1/4 with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. After that, I attach a piece of ribbon to the top of patterned paper. On the back of the card, I tape the ribbon down with some regular old scotch tape and use glue dots to adhere it down in the front. I left enough room to stamp a sentiment.

5.) Then, I get my colorbox chalk ink (chestnut roan) and my greetings stamp (from TPC Studio). Next, I attach the stamp to an acrylic block. I use the thank you stamp and stamp that at the top of my white cardstock.

6.) Finally, I attach the image on the white cardstock with permanent adhesive to my gray card base.

Then repeat the process to create 3 more cards to make a total of 4 card all together.
